Most Common Makeup Errors

There are lots of people that complain about their makeup looks and makeup products as well. As a makeup artist, I asked a few of my customers what do they think about makeup and these are the common negative views I got: “Makeup makes me look scary”, “My skin looks dull every time I apply makeup on”, and “I can’t find the makeup look that suits me”

No worries ladies I know exactly what’s going on between you and makeup. Sometimes it is not your skin or face that is not adapting with makeup, it might be that you are making some mistakes regarding makeup, or it could be the makeup artist that applied makeup on your face made some mistakes. These are the common mistakes that we find in makeup:-

a)   Using low quality makeup products: sometimes you follow correct steps and choose the right mix of colours but you end up with a terrible makeup look because you are using either low quality set of brushes or cheap makeup products.

b)  Mixing wrong colours: there are times where you end up with a very bizarre look because you simply mixed colours that don’t match or that do not mix such as: blue and yellow, green and pink, purple and red! This is the most common makeup mistake ever.

c)   Applying excessive amount of makeup: for those who say that makeup makes them look scary, this is the reason. You are mixing lots of colours of eyeshadows, adding too much eyeliner, and choosing a very strong lipstick. These excessive amounts of makeup will not make you look prettier and results in scary look.

d)   Following wrong steps: sometimes people say that every time they contour their faces, they end up with a tanned face rather than a thin face, which is in other words not what they wanted to have. Well here is the reason for having tanned face, you might be applying too much bronzer, using the wrong shade of bronzer, or you might be doing it the wrong way. There are certain steps when it comes to contouring your face and if these steps were not followed correctly the results won’t be nice.
